Frequently asked Questions

Do I need a product or service to use your services?

Yes, to use the bulk of Click’s Journey services, you will need at least one.  BUT if you have some options and you are not sure of which product or service to offer first, let’s talk about it. Start by filling out the inquiry form. We will be happy to guide you and help you decide on what product or service is the best to start investing time into.

Do I need a website?

No, you don’t need a website. If you have a product or service you want to offer online, we can help you creating landing pages to promote them.

What is a landing page?

A landing page – AKA squeeze page – is a stand-alone webpage used to promote a single product or service. They are best used when linked to paid advertisements to keep the focus of the interested lead just on that promotion. They typically don’t have a navigation bar and their Call to Action (CTA) is very clear.

What’s the difference between a website and a landing page?

A website will have information relating to your entire business and EVERY category of product and service you may be offering. A landing page is used in marketing efforts to keep things as simple as possible for the viewer to not be distracted by everything you may be offering on your website, and just see the specific product or service you are promoting. Use landing pages to “funnel” leads into your business to make the buying process as clear and straightforward as possible.

What is a Call To Action (CTA)?

A Call to Action (CTA) is a button, form, link or whatever you want your lead or customer to click on. CTA’s are typically on landing pages and they are located at the top, middle and bottom of the page, to be easily noticed by the interested person on the site.

My website is outdated. Should I update my website first before contacting you?

No. There is no need for you to update anything before contacting us. It’s just best to have a good plan of action in order. Otherwise, you maybe have to rework it depending on the new funnel strategy plans.

What is business automation?

Business automation is a technical setup, in which common business process are to be carried out automatically instead of doing it manually. For example: sending emails to confirm bookings, email reminders, updating teammates with contact or lead information, etc. Automation can save time and resources when done correctly.

What is marketing automation?

Marketing automation is the technical setup of marketing strategies – like lead generation and sales – to happen automatically without manual intervention. Some marketing funnels do require manual mediation – for example, calls to leads made by the sales team once they fill out a form. In this case marketing automation will be setup to automate the lead generation and follow up needs based on those interactions between the sales representative and the lead.

But other marketing funnels can be completely automated and absent of manual intervention. Evergreen funnel setup allows for the lead generation, follow up and sales to occur completely automatically for every new lead visiting your website or landing page.

How do I know if my business needs marketing automation?

It is highly recommendable – if not essential – to make use of these technical setups. Especially if the team handling marketing or online communications is small – or if you are the only person responsible for your business! It is important to focus on other tasks and free up as much time as possible to do so. Following up with leads is extremely important and relying on memory or availability, will make you miss out on many sales opportunities. All of your competitors are doing it.

What is an evergreen marketing funnel?

An evergreen marketing funnel means that the lead generation, follow up, tracking, and sales conversion happens completely automatically, without human / manual intervention.

What is list segmentation?

List segmentation is the practice, in which different types of contacts/leads are organized and categorized. These different leads are followed with unique communications (emails, follow ups…) The goal is to keep the content from these communication relevant to the type of lead, whether because of timing or product interest.

For example: if you have a dog lover customer, you would not want to send them cat related content; or if a person has already purchased the product, you would not want to keep sending them promotional emails.

What is a freebie offer / lead magnet?

A freebie offer, also known as a lead magnet, is a deliverable that is considered of value by a target market (potential customers). The goal is to trade the lead magnet for the lead’s name and email address. The lead magnet is commonly called a freebie offer, because most of the time it’s free of cost. Popular lead magnets are coupon codes, free webinar registration, samples of product, etc…

Why is it important to have a form on your website?

Most people that visit your website and leave, are most likely never coming back. If a potential customer is not quite ready to buy, you would want to get their name and email. So by getting their contact this way,  you can follow up with them and staying top of their mind until they are ready to buy – and luckily, even after that. If you don’t build a follow up, it is likely they will just do the purchase from a competitor when they are ready to do so.

I have a low budget - should marketing automation wait till I have more money to invest?

Luckily for you, there are many softwares that can do marketing automation at a very low cost. Most businesses can benefit from marketing automation, even in the very early stages of the business. But whatever the cost, you will still need a strategy behind the software. Is it to save you time, or increase revenue? Whatever your goals are, you will still need a return on your investment of the automation software.

I have no time to learn about marketing strategy or about marketing automation softwares, should I hire a marketing consultant to set everything up for me?

Most likely yes. Depending on the size of your business, you have 2 options: one, you will either need to hire either a marketing consultant like us to strategize with you and set up all the technicalities; or two, you will need to learn the softwares and rely on their support teams and resources to setup your needs yourself. However, if your problem is time, we would recommend you to go for the first option.

How do I know when it’s time to upgrade from Mailchimp?

Unfortunately, Mailchimp is lacking functionality to completely automate what needs to be done to grow and scale a business. The usual problems with Mailchimp are: duplicate contacts, too many emails sent to users – even irrelevant emails – and just too many manual actions in general that could easily be automated. Businesses usually know when it’s time to upgrade to a different software: when they are spending too much time in Mailchimp.
